OCTOBER NEWS FROM THE WORTHY MATRON
What a wonderful year we have had. When we look back at our beginning of Legacy Chapter, we can be proud of how well we worked at joining together. Not because we had to, but because we wanted to. The joy we have shared as we developed the structure, made some changes, kept some meaningful items and ideas, and most importantly, compromised, will leave us with a legacy for all time. Worthy Patron, Bob and I have looked forward to each meeting and never been disappointed. The work of the officers has been stellar. Pro tems have always stepped in willingly, Many sideliners volunteered and helped out with pin ons, refreshments, decorations, favors, raising money, and so much more. I have always loved the Order of the Eastern Star, but this year has filled my happiness cup to overflowing. Thanks to everyone.
As we end our year, our September meeting was wild and wonderful. We had a Luau with Delta, our Friendship Chapter! PGM Sister Carol brought us Hawaiian dancers from her sister’s dance studio. Check out pictures on our Website! You will definitely want to seethe PGMs (Sisters Marilyn and Carol), and the Deputies (Sisters Kate and Cara).
Due to Grand Chapter, there will be no 2nd meeting in September.
October 9th we will vote on a petition, and honor the Officers who worked so hard, and with such love this year. Our theme will be feet. Feel free to wear crazy socks, ankle bracelets, or paint your toenails!!
October 23rd will be our last meeting of the year. We will Initiate a new member into Legacy Chapter.
November 8th at 7:30pm will be our Installation. Please join us as we begin our 2nd year.
It is with much love and blessings for another great year, that we say good-bye.

FROM THE EAST
With this beautiful Spring upon us, we have so much to be grateful for. On April 24th we were blessed to have a Grand Inspection. The Worthy Grand Patron, Brother Dick and his wife Kathy were presented with honorary memberships by PGM Marilyn and Daryl Giey in a way that we won’t soon forget!! What a joy it was to share our special evening with all our special guests and friends. We welcome our two new members, Lauren Vaughn and Bobby Webster and hope to see them often!
Coming up we will celebrate Mother’s Day at our May 8th meeting, and celebrate those with many years of membership on May 22nd.
June 12th will be reports and voting night.
June 26th we will celebrate our birthday and hear from our historian, Amy Shaw.
Please come for fellowship and fun. The more, the merrier!
